You’ve heard the famous line from the movie Jerry McGuire where Tom Cruise, playing Jerry McGuire, is made by his client to repeatedly yell louder and louder, “Show me the money!”

In our business, what you should be doing is showing your people the love! Love is what people need. They need to be needed. They need to be wanted. Everyone has room in their heart and life for one more person to take a personal interest in them and love them where they are while challenging them to grow.

People everywhere are hurting. They are living lives of quiet desperation in their relationships, career, finances, or health. Many are out of shape and most are in debt up to their eyeballs. Yes, people need our love. They need a loving smile and a loving hug. Love your people. Love your prospects. Show love and kindness to everyone you meet, and you cannot imagine how big and how fast your group can grow. Love on people.

Most people in this industry do not have this as their single objective. They are trying to sign people up or sell them something. Both of those are derivatives of something more meaningful. Sales and new associates are byproducts of doing the right thing and loving people. See their potential. See them for who they can be, not for who they are. True love wants what is best for the individual. It is not selfish or self-serving.

So if you want your business to grow, start showing the love. Care about everyone you meet. Try to get to know them—not for what they can do for you, but for what you can do for them. Look for tangible ways you can show them the love. That is what our community is about. That is what this organization is all about. Showing the love is what we are all about and is a part of why we are here. Showing the love is not a part-time or full-time endeavor. It is an all-the-time thing. No one builds this business part-time or full-time. If it gets built, it’s because someone is showing the love all the time to everyone they meet. It is real. It is genuine. It is authentic. The world is searching for something meaningful that is real, genuine, and authentic!
